THE ECONOMICS OF A SON ...... "Time"

.
"There is a special time for everything. There is a time for everything that happens under heaven. There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pick what is planted. There is a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up. There is a time to cry, and a time to laugh; a time to have sorrow, and a time to dance. There is a time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to kiss, and a time to turn from kissing. There is a time to try to find, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away. There is a time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; a time to be quiet, and a time to speak. There is a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace." Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"That which has been, is that which will be, and that which has been done, is that which will be done." Ecclesiastes 1:9

"That which is, has already been, and that which will be, has already been, for God seeks what has passed by." Ecclesiastes 3:15

For years I have had many seasons of wrestling with the concept of "time" in regards to the Kingdom of Heaven. A couple months ago the old familiar subject of time came up again in my studies and meditations. Where as in the past I could study "time" for a period and lay it down knowing I had gone as far as I could within that season in exploring the subject, this was not to be so. I wrestled with this subject to the point of great travail and yet I could not lay it down as before. I read all I could find on the subject in both scientific, secular and religious articles. I would read often until the wee hours of morning until my eyes began to cross. I really wanted to let it go but it seemed the Spirit would not allow it. So enveloped and consumed was I with the study of time that I had not an inkling to write on another subject as far as a SONSHINE blog. I was empty in all areas and there was no inspiration with regard to anything I might write. So empty was I, that I even wondered at times whether I could ever write again and then this morning at about 3 AM God revealed to me the answer to my perplexity concerning the subject of "time." It came by way of a prophesy I had copied a year or two ago to a file. At the time I read this prophetic word, I thought it a bit too far out but yet for some reason I recorded it and then completely forgot all about it.

After a few thoughts I will end this blog with this very prophesy with the hope that you might pray about it and possibly even be led to meditate on it. Lord willing, in a proceeding blog or two I will try and share some more thoughts on the "mystery of time" ............ and yes it certainly is a mystery ........ a mystery I believe as great as God Himself.

As a prelude to the prophesy, let me say that scientists, philosophers and theologians have become increasingly argumentative about what exactly "time" is. The question of "time" is being recognized in many fields as the most fundamental question of all. Of course when the theologian thinks of "time" in relationship with God the concept of "eternity" comes up which only seems to bring more perplexity to the subject. How do you even describe "eternity" without using terms that denote "time." Try it and you will find it can't be done thus we glimpse the first light of the conundrum of "time." Some would say "eternity is the absence of time" to which I might respond quite contrarily, "eternity is God, who is the fullness of time."

Lastly did you know that before the second century AD that there is no evidence of any kind of word carrying the concept of "eternity in any culture, language or artifact. As is the case with so much corruption it took the theologians to invent a concept that contradicts that which God has set in the Bible as "world lasting or age lasting" (aion and it's derivatives). Alexander Thomson in his booklet "How Eternity Slipped In" states:

It may be stated, without fear of contradiction, that the more one explores into the early centuries of Christendom, the clearer does it become that a corrupt theology was alone responsible for displacing the teaching regarding the eons by a dogma respecting "eternity."

PROPHESY by LOLADE ADEGOKE
Nigeria (9/27/o6)

I AM Time. I sit and inhabit Eternity. I am NOW.

I was and will forever be.

I AM Time, and have come Now.

The time of man has ceased to exist.

I, Time, have taken My Place.

Mark well that the frequency of occurrence of events increases as I am ushered in. Years become as months, months become as weeks, weeks as days, days as hours, hours as minutes and minutes as seconds. Watch and be found faithful, and not just faithful, but true!

You ARE My Word gone forth.

Execute and BE.

The earth cries out to be delivered of the souls that she carries. The voices of the slain cry out; can you not hear them?

Nations, kings, peoples and men who have built their nations, kingdoms, houses and lands by shedding the blood of others, shall begin to reap their reward now.

For the Day IS.

And the day reveals all that has been done in the dark of the night. The Day is; and the Day utters all that has been formed in the night.

I AM the Day. I AM the Night; and all that men did in the dark of the night I have patiently watched.

It is time for the day to reveal all that the night has seen. The Light dwells in Me, and reveals all that the dark of the night carried.

To you I have come today as EL OLAM: King of the Ages, The Ancient of Days, The Holy One that inhabits Eternity. Can variableness or shadow of turning ever be found in Me? ...........

And beloved, where is that time that you held on to?

It is not anymore.

It is no longer.

I AM TIME

I pray you might contemplate this word by the Nigerian saint given a couple years ago. Surely this utterance speaks also to the "awesome Day of Lord" we have of late been quickened to in our spirits.

Hear the cry of Revelation 22:20, “Surely I come quickly.” And then John responds to the words of the Lord, saying, “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”

The hour cometh and now is!

THE ECONOMICS OF A SON ...... "The Cross"

.
This morning, Joian shared a message by Chip Brogden and a comment in our last blog. Chip is one of our favorite writers and teachers here at SONSHINE. This man never varies in his message of "Christ and cross" and if you aren't subscribed to his daily meditation we can only encourage you to sign up and begin your mornings on a right and true path where Jesus is given all preeminence. Chip's Jesus is even a better wake up, than a hot cup of joe.

Please allow me to share Chip's message and Joian's comment followed by some thoughts that came to me upon reading this. How wonderful it is to fellowship with the saints as we prod each other to know the greater depths of Christ and His Cross.

The Call of the Cross
by Chip Brogden

"For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you" (II Corinthians 4:11,12).

The answer to why there is so little power and genuine spiritual fruit in the lives of those who follow Jesus is a simple one: they desire the Life of the Lord, but not His Death. They want a daily pouring out of the Lord's Life, but they shun the prospect of daily sharing in His Death.

Why do we commit to teaching this in depth? Why do we belabor the point incessantly? Because the saints of the Lord are well instructed in living victoriously, being blessed, walking in power, overcoming the enemy, and living up to their potential.

By comparison, the majority of them know next to nothing about self-denial, bearing their Cross, boasting in their weaknesses, being joyful in trials, winning by losing, gaining by giving up, working by resting, accepting both the bitter and the sweet as gifts from God, enduring hardness and accepting suffering. God desires to increase us and enlarge us; He therefore calls us to go back to the Cross ............

Brogden

How thankful I am to begin understand the purpose of suffering.....it's greater purpose has been foreign to me, even while I often suffered.....and chaffed ........the concept of suffering and it's usefulness as well as being willing to touch it, with his strength and yes, even his joy, is such a debilitating thing to fear.......and is the other part of being able to enter his rest..and stay contented with whatever comes(the first is that all men will be saved)
Joian

Joian, your Brogden message and comment today was truly inspired of God. I also know how hard it is for Chip to belabor and emphasize the cross. The message of the "crucified life" seems like an old worn out herald for the majority that name Christ today. It falls on dead ears with most in Christendom, as few have been given a sojourners heart to know our "earthly existence" is not our first estate but is actually and in plain terms the "cross" itself. Most won't learn the lesson of the cross in this life time but our great hope is that all eventually will, as the cross of Christ transcends even the grave. The mystery is that God in Christ, even suffers the world today, and as we come to see creation through His eyes we suffer with Him. Oh yes, this Love of God suffers and even groans (Rom 8).

I like how George Hawtin describes the working of the cross, and this even goes to both sides of hades.

"God saves some first and teaches them after, but others, He teaches first and saves them after. But every day God reaps an enormous harvest from mankind."

I truly believe for most, as they enter into the next realm their lives are reviewed and they find, with great regret, the emptiness and lack of reward this world has brought them. With this view, and in the midst of indescribable despair, these souls are visited and comforted by a nail pierced, scourged and visage marred God who wraps His arms around them and says He paid the price and made up for their lack, which is complete. Oh, to witness such makes my heart melt as this is "the teaching first followed by the saving."

I also believe we have been blessed by being saved, both before and even after the teachings this world brings, has brought and will bring us. I know I have found Him a few times in the midst of the greatest regret, and while being comforted and consoled, that regret was wiped away along with all the tears. Surely the cross and the saving of the soul is an eternal work that transcends even this world. It's a big cross, even from the alpha to the omega and the way in between. And at the end of the ages we will find that all of creation has been gathered into Christ by way of His Cross. Aren't we glad to know nothing is lost, but all is finally raised into God's Glory which be Christ Jesus.

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom He paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose Him for this purpose long before the world began, but now in these final days, He was sent to the earth for all to see. And He did this for you. Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And because God raised Christ from the dead and gave Him great glory, your faith and hope can be placed confidently in God. Now you can have sincere love for each other as brothers and sisters because you were cleansed from your sins when you accepted the truth of the Good News. So see to it that you really do love each other intensely with all your hearts. 1Pet 1:18-22

Truly we are two men and one must die to be raised in the Other. This is the New Creation Man and He has a head and a body and His name is Jesus. What Glory to glimpse this New Man that came by way of a Cross!

Jack/John

Shhhhhh ........ THE SAINTS REST IN HIS SHARON PASTURES

.
Truly, this is a profitable season to lay aside every weight and unnecessary activity that we might find ourselves quiet, still and abandoned before God. We at SONSHINE, believe that as the perplexed world frets and runs to and fro looking for solace, there are rich Sharon pastures prepared for those virgins that have laid all they have and all they are upon God's Holy Altar which be Christ. While the world suffers the Lord's awesome day, there is prepared a land of plenty where gold, silver and precious stones are as the dust under the feet of God's separated and surrendered holy virgins. This is not a land as the world knows, for we have long since left such, seeking a heavenly country and a prepared city. The patriarchs of old, even unto Paul who was born out of season, looked to this very day and hour we reside in. What a glorious time to know God!

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. Heb 11:13-16

So many of us have come to the very ends of our mortal strength. We find ourselves so weak that we can do nothing of ourselves and this has been of a Divine appointment. If God has spoken anything into my heart this morning it has been the familiar verses of Isaiah. Truly, I believe this is His promise to those that are poor in spirit and have learned to wait upon the Lord.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa 40:29-31

Yes, let us take a season to enjoy rest and abandonment in God and "there the glorious Lord will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; where in shall go no gallery with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby." Isa 33:20,21

Lord willing we will see you in a few days dear Saints of the Most High,

Jack and Joian

his secret unto his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7
